Escape

“To win, he’ll have to outrun himself.”

LOGLINE
A young street racer from the outskirts of Brasília must confront the criminal past of his mentor to triumph on the track—and escape the shadow that threatens to consume his future.

SYNOPSIS
In the underground nights of Brasília, Gael was raised among turbo-charged engines, illegal street races, and outlaw legends. Son of a strict mechanic and protégé of Lobo—a charismatic outlaw and urban racing icon—Gael learned early that speed meant freedom.

But when he discovers that the man who taught him to race is also responsible for the downfall of his family, Gael is torn between the myth that shaped him and the truth that could set him free.

Set against the sensual and pulsating backdrop of nocturnal Brasília, Escape blends the rebellious spirit of Drive with the moral tension of Whiplash, all seasoned with an unmistakably Latin flavor. The film combines gritty street action with family drama, social critique, and a powerful coming-of-age arc—brought to life through layered characters and vibrant visuals that reflect the contradictions of Brazil’s utopian capital.

Inspired by true stories from Brasília’s underground racing scene, Escape delivers visceral action, magnetic characters, and a profound reflection on family, fate, and redemption.

It’s City of God meets Rush—with a Brasília soul.
