Authorial vision
With a career that spans directing, editing, and cinematography, Pedro Bronz explores the relationship between image, memory, and narrative. His experience as an editor is reflected in his interest in the expressive possibilities of filmed material: rather than treating archival footage merely as an illustration of facts, he investigates what the images themselves reveal and how they can produce meaning when placed in relation to one another. His conception of the documentary prioritizes the viewer’s experience, without reducing the film to the mere transmission of information. This approach bridges research and creation, making the selection, duration, and articulation of images central elements of the narrative.
